Emergency Response Outside DeKalb Offices

Gary sends in this photo filled with emergency vehicles at Commerce and Swanton Way and adds, “I’m not sure what was going on by the Maloof building a while ago…if a person was hit by a car or collapsed in the road.”
There’s a lot going on in the photo, so take a close look and let me know if I’m missing anything.
It’s kind of late in the day, but I’ll try to get details from Decatur PD.

It looks like whatever happened was in the road between the two fire trucks. There are two pieces of fire equipment, and just about everything that rolls from the PD, including the motorcycle and bicycle. Interestingly, no “big red” ambulance, though.
Here’s what happened according to Decatur PD…
“A pedestrian was walking westbound across Commerce toward the Maloof Building, he left the crosswalk, and walked across 2 southbound lanes on Commerce Drive. As the driver completed the turn, the driver’s view of the pedestrian was obstructed by Commerce Drive’s northbound vehicles and the pedestrian was hit. The pedestrian did not complain of any injury but was transported to the hospital.”
