Decatur Metro | August 24, 2009The 4,000 Decatur Beer Festival tickets are now on sale. They are $35 a piece. It will sell out, so unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for them on Craigslist, purchase them HERE right now.
‘Nuff said.
UPDATE: Carl reminds us (via Twitter) that we can also purchase Beer Festival tickets at Decatur CD with a smaller fee attached!
I love the fact that it is “No Children”. As a former bartender, I used to kick people who sidled up to my bar with Joey, Jr. off to tables in a less adult area. It has nothing to do with a “THINK OF CHILDREN” attitude, but simply that some places are for grown ups and some are for families with kids.
Let the hatin’ begin.
PS- somebody pick me up a t-shirt. We don’t usually go to things without Baby Nelliebelle.
No hatin’ here, Nell– I wish more parents had such common sense as you do on this subject. As much as I like kids, there are just some places where they really don’t need to be.
Indeed, there are places we go to get away from kids.
Actually Decatur CD does charge a nominal ticket fee, but it’s lower than that charged on the website. Plus, no printing required! (They’d love it if you’d make some CD purchases while there…).
Oh, cool. Thanks for the clarification Carl!
Just curious; when did it become the “Great Decatur CRAFT Beer Festival”?
That “CRAFT” wasn’t in the original specs for the logo contributions, was it?
The committee decided to add “craft” to the title as we are going to focus more on craft beers in 2009. There were some there last year, but this year should have more variety.
No, the work craft was not in the original specs, and after the committee selected the winning logo we asked the creator, Roger Fleming, to make the change. It worked out quite nicely, yes?
The Mister & I just bought our 8 tix– woo-hoo! This is a great way to entertain business clients, especially those from out of town. Can’t wait (even though hard likker is my usual preference)!
my very favorite logo for the beer festival ever! nice work roger fleming!!!
If the tasting glass were really that big, we’d be on to something.
I’ve learned to live with the 5 ounce tasting glass. What irks me is the volunteers who won’t fill it up. Standing in line to get a 2 ounce pour is really annoying.
