The report was that the perps got away in a U-Haul truck and the one was apprehended at a gas station on N Decatur Rd. Another example of stupid criminals.

A big ORANGE and white U-Haul must have amazing pick-up for a getaway car, and blends in so well with traffic on a Wed. morning. How ever were they spotted and caught?

They pulled into the gas station to hide.

          I was being sarcastic :)

Were you? I swear it really is so hard to tell on here sometimes.

No, they really did pull into a gas station and, given the average mentality of criminals, they probably thought they would blend in and hide.

Yep. Stupid criminals. N.Decatur Rd as an escape route with major intersections in both directions? Helloooo!

It’s kind of odd that the folks working the Blood Drive there today hadn’t heard about it by early afternoon. The cops must’ve been confident that they had all the suspects targeted from the start. Otherwise, the Women’s Building would’ve been a prime place to take hostages or hide.

My mom was volunteering in the women’s center and she said they went into lock-down at one point.

That’s excellent to know!!! It would’ve been so easy for a bad guy to dart into the underground parking exit and enter the building!

Wonder why the news didn’t get to the Red Cross folks…
