…there was a mob of service trucks and fire trucks at Kings Hwy and Ansley…and we had to turn around.. The odor of natural gas was nauseating from inside the car with all the windows rolled up and is still very strong even from our house on Adams. I keep expecting someone to come evacuate us.
Someone speak up when you guys get the all-clear. Sounds like a not-so-fun evening.

The neighbors were allowed back into our homes around 9 pm. We passed the time having pizza and beer at Mojo’s, so it wasn’t all bad.
We too made the best of the situation and had an impromptu evening on the square. I did wonder why we didn’t get a call from the emergency notification system. This certainly seemed to be an emergency but the only communication was with the emergency personnel on the scene. Would have been nice to get a call on my cellphone alerting me to the danger and perhaps even giving the all clear later on.
