Suspected East Lake Road Burglar Arrested

    Decatur Metro | January 13, 2010

    Good news!  The AJC reports…

A man who could be responsible for 20 burglaries along East Lake Road near Ponce de Leon Avenue turned himself in Tuesday morning, DeKalb County police said.

Todd Leslie Thomas, 42, is charged with a November 2009 break-in on Ridgecrest Road. Additional charges may follow, police said.

Thanks to Diane for pointing out this blurb.

The AJC must be reading this blog. I notice that he is not referred as a gentleman, a human being, etc. DM your blog you’re quite the influence on local journalism.

I’m glad the guy is locked up.
Not sure I understand Chad’s reference to the “gentleman” stuff.

Diane, it refers to the earlier post about this guy, dude, perp, etc. http://www.decaturmetro.com/2010/01/08/dekalb-police-searching-for-suspected-east-lake-road-burglar/

And please everyone forgive my typo/poor grammar above. Behind every good writer is a better editor.

how come the police couldn’t find a homeless man who broke into multiple homes IN A SMALL AREA over a LONG period of time? The Man/gentleman/burlary suspect/perp TURNED HIMSELF IN

Guess it was too cold to be riding around on a bicycle.

Or maybe he saw himself on the WSB news broadcasts Monday/Tuesday. I had a good chuckle imagining his dismay when his picture popped up bigger than life on the tv screen along with Monica’s classic “news” delivery.

(It did seem they’d checked in here for details.)
