Here’s an interesting twist for the Emmys: Out of all the nominees for Outstanding Drama Series in 2024 — which included titles like The Crown, Fallout, The Gilded Age, The Morning Show, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Slow Horses, 3 Body Problem, and the winner Shōgun — only Slow Horses is back in contention this year.
This means the competition for the 2025 Drama Series will mostly consist of new nominees. Yet, this doesn’t imply that the contest is wide open. On the contrary, two series have positioned themselves as the frontrunners: Apple TV+’s Severance, which had an almost flawless second season, and a new medical drama on Max, The Pitt. Both series have already secured two spots in TVLine’s exclusive Dream Emmy lineup.
Take a look at all our Dream Nominees (note, these are not predictions but rather wish lists) and share your thoughts. Do they get a “Hell, yes!”, a “Um, no”, or a “How could you forget about…?!”
