The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday, with CBS hosting the event and Nate Bargatze as the master of ceremonies.
Apple TV+’s Severance entered the 2025 Emmy Awards with a leading 27 nominations in the drama category and emerged with eight awards, including trophies for Outstanding Lead Actress (Britt Lower) and Outstanding Supporting Actor (Tramell Tillman). Meanwhile, HBO Max’s The Pitt managed to secure five awards from its 13 nominations, notably winning Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Lead Actor (Noah Wyle), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Katherine LaNasa).

In the comedy sector, Apple TV+’s The Studio made a splash with 23 nominations, setting a new record for a debut comedy series. It went on to break another record by scooping up 13 Emmys, the highest ever for a new comedy series, including wins for Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Lead Actor (Seth Rogen).
Over in the limited series arena, Netflix’s Adolescence dominated with eight awards, including Outstanding Limited Series and acting awards for Stephen Graham (Lead Actor), Owen Cooper (Supporting Actor), and Erin Doherty (Supporting Actress). Cristin Milioti earned the Lead Actress award for her role in HBO’s The Penguin.
