Confirmed: Souper Jenny Coming to Decatur
Decatur Metro | March 18, 2013Eater Atlanta and Patch have confirmed that Souper Jenny has decided to open their second location in Decatur.
The open question now is: where? According to both sources owner Jenny Levison has yet to decide where she should open up in Decatur. Any suggestions?
This whole pr process annoys me to no end. Pick a spot, renovate, select an opening date…then issue a press release. “Souper Jenny coming to Decatur” is taking longer than a presidential election.
Chill out!
SJ is coming to Decatur. Great news!
SJ has not yet selected a location. SJ is also not soliciting public input for location — that would be as a result of this exciting information being confirmed. But even SJ was looking for advice on location, what’s the problem?
The old Jakes Ice Cream location would seem the best spot in terms of size and proximity to the courthouse lunch crowd (but maybe the worst location for parking?).
How about the Carpe Diem location………..as I see a for sale\lease sign up now!
excellent.
Q: will she be serving bourbon?
if yes, which ones?
Spin, spin, spinnin’, spinnin’ like a spinnin’ top.
I have room in my detached garage… I’m just sayin’.
I think she should open a few miles down South Candler or maybe on Memorial out by the jail, but still insist on telling everyone it’s “Decatur”. The exploding heads would be awesome.
Kitschn 155!
+1
The empty Italian Ice store Memorial at Candler would be perfect.
My head is exploding.
West Ponce, near the toy park…
I can’t help. I just keep thinking of the joke about the guy in the nursing home being asked if he’d like some super sex.
I’ll take the soup.
I heard on the radio earlier that They estimate some unbelievably large amount of lost productivity in workplaces because of the NCAA basketball tournament. I don’t believe it. Clearly, everybody around here is on duty and alert, pondering soup and whiskey.
The old Ruby Tuesday’s site, access to the DeKalb County Court House and tons of parking, excellent street frontage. It may be more space than she’s looking for, though.
deja vu…. most likely for certain…we think
It’s soup, y’all. Soup.
+1
Soup was good enough to sustain perhaps the best known episode of Seinfeld. It certainly warrants 20 or so comments on a blog post.
SJ ranks down with Zoes Kitchen…both unimpressive
