Chris Billingsley sends in this great pic from Decatur Cemetery showing some beautiful Christmas Day snow accumulation just prior to sunset. No telling what we’ll see by tomorrow morning!
Decatur Cemetery is one of my favorite spaces. The photo
below (if this image addition thing works) is a backyard tree from
last winter, but it may be a preview of the lovely things to
come…

I looked out the window yesterday when the snow still wasn’t accumulating on the warmer ground. To my surprise, my daughter was already rolling on our lawn a huge snowball, 2 feet in diameter, to make a snowman. When I asked her later how she did it, she explained that she took snow off the top of cars parked along the road, then rolled the snow on the lawn into a ball.
One of the best investments I’ve ever made is snowpants of various sizes as my eldest grows. They are only worn two to three times a year but they have resulted in hours and hours of fun.
Color me jealous! Thanks, Chris!
There’s something very Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil (the book cover) about this photo.

So serene… Wonderful photo, Mr. B!
