Tastings Closes Its Doors
Decatur Metro | September 14, 2009A Decatur mom writes in that Tastings has closed and that they have a “sign up on their door saying thanks for the patronage, but we are now closed.

Despite our best efforts, we were not able to attract the business that we needed in order to stay afloat in this struggling economy.
Thanks to all the Decaturites who supported us and on behalf of Deb and myself, it was a pleasure to get to know those of you who frequented Tastings. Best regards.

I am saddened to learn that last month’s rumor did indeed prove true. I am awaiting a response from corporate on how they will handle gift cards for those of us with remaining balances.
I hope it doesn’t go down like Wordsmiths – I’m still grumpy that I had a gift card with a balance that I didn’t get to spend. But you never know…
So sorry they didn’t make it. We always had a lot of fun with Larry and Kyle and Marso at the bar. Larry could whip up some tasty goodies in that “kitchen”. Best of luck to Kelly and Deb.
Perhaps if they hadn’t charged $10/pint for the Wells Bombardier I might have gone in there more than once …

Sorry to hear Tastings has closed. I really liked the place and thought it was a great idea.
