Tyler Perry Filming at The Grange Monday

The Grange Public House will be closed this coming Monday and Tuesday for filming of Tyler Perry’s upcoming sequel “Why Did I Get Married Too?“, which stars Janet Jackson.
The Decatur neighborhood pub was originally slated only to be closed Tuesday, but the unexpected death of brother Michael has altered Janet’s schedule. Therefore filming will take place Monday, but the Grange will remained closed both days.
Small world.

This AJC article makes it sound like filming could be postponed, but what I heard was the filming was moved up at the Grange AFTER the news of Jackson’s death, which yes I understand sounds a bit backwards.
Guess we’ll see.
Maybe not so backwards– from what’s been in the media, MJ’s services haven’t even been planned b/c the family wants an independent autopsy. So, maybe JJ figures she can at least get these short scenes done, then fly back to CA for her brother’s funeral. Tyler Perry’s a very good friend of hers, so she might feel that for his sake, “the show should go on” until final arrangements are in place.
On a cheerier note, now we’ll have to go see the movie when it comes out so we can spot The Grange!
