Big Discounts at Four Decatur Restaurants
Decatur Metro | December 12, 2008Thinking about trying Parker’s on Ponce? Well you might want to head over to Restaurant.com first and pick up a gift certificate or two and pay less than half price! (Excludes alcohol)
Saba, Natalie’s and Amaryn’s Thai Bowl also have similar deals currently.
And if you see Carl while you’re out there enjoying dinner at a discount, say “Thank You!” since he was the one that point this out.
UPDATE: In my haste I forgot this additional tidbit from Carl: “Use discount code “online” (without the quotes) for 70% off.”
The most significant aspect of this deal is using a coupon code to save at least 60%. The current one is “online” (without the quotes) for 70% off. If it expires, Google “restaurant.com coupon” for more. Buying from Restaurant.com without a coupon would be like renting a car at full price! There’s never a shortage of deals. Some of us (ahem) bought out the Ted’s coupons, but they’ll likely renegotiate and restock by next month if not before. This is the first Ted’s has ever been on Restaurant.com locally, so they likely underestimated demand. There are still coupons available for the main Ted’s location on Luckie.
Wow! These are great deals. Thanks, guys. See you there.
We love restaurant.com. If you sign up for there email list you will get discount codes all the time. The Depot on Memorial drive is in there too as well as Athens Pizza. Although not really Decatur, they are both close. We hardly eat out without a certificate from them. It saves us a ton of money.
Restaurant.com is great for traveling, too. We’ve used certificates in Miami and Massachusetts.
Do you find that restaurants/waiters/waitresses are welcoming when you use one of the certificates? I saw the deals but did not want to get snubbed at the restaurant.
The restaurants pay to participate in these sorts of programs, so they definitely want you to patronize them! It’s like a form of advertising.
I thought all these were all “old news” but add:
http://www.halfoffdepot.com
Noodle $20 certificate is $10
Carpe Deim $25 is 12.50
Bhojanic (just outside the city limits but worth the trip $100 is $40
Nathalie’s Fish House $25 is $12.50 (as with most of the “half off depot” certificates does not exclude alcohol like most certificates from restaurant.com do)
Most of time we dont even let the staff know we have a certificate until we go to pay our bill. We have never been treated with any differently with them. A few of the restaurants say to present prior to ordering but we never have. We use them about once a week.
Almost forgot one of the best deals:
Calavino’s $30 for $10 !

The store at atlantacuisine.com is another great place to watch for these kinds of coupons. They just had a $30 for $10 certificate for Voila a couple weeks ago.

Incidentally, the AC forums feature far and away the best discussion of the local dining scene around.
JC:
As long as you remember to tip the server based on what your tab was before the coupon/certificate was applied, you won’t be snubbed.
