Glennwood Pumpkin Sale/Escapade
Decatur Metro | October 24, 2008Just a day after I noticed a poster for this sale in town and thought “I really should post that!”, Laura writes in with the details.
Glennwood Academy’s Great Pumpkin Escapade
The Scots use turnips, the Irish use potatoes, and the Brits use beets, but we Americans use gorgeous, orange pumpkins to make our Jack O’lanterns! And thanks to Glennwood Academy’s annual pumpkin sale, you will have a wide variety of those magnificent fruits to choose from this year. Besides the traditional carving and pie pumpkins, our buyers also hope to bring you Cinderella, pump-ke-mon and jack-be-little pumpkins, as well as a variety of gourds, including elegant swan gourds.
This year’s sale begins Friday, October 17th on Glennwood’s campus, and continues through October 30th. The sale will also travel to the College Heights, Clairemont, Oakhurst and Winnona Park campuses for sales on Friday, October 17th and Friday, October 24th at their release times.
Also, Glennwood’s fall carnival is tomorrow from 10-4 with food, games, and a haunted house put on by the Renfroe drama club.
