Reminder: Fall Electronics Recycling Day Is This Saturday

Decatur Metro | October 24, 2008

SteveC pokes us with a reminder…

2008 Fall Electronics Recycling Day

Saturday, October 25 • 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Decatur High School Parking Lot
(Corner of N. McDonough Street and Howard Avenue)

I posted all the details a couple weeks back here.  Note that TVs are now accepted for $10 exact change (that means you can’t be showing up straight from the ATM with just $20s!).  Still no microwaves though.

Seems to me if you have a working television that you want to get rid of, it would be cheaper to give it away using a website like Freecycle or put it on the curb with a sign that says it is working. I’m sure there a lots of people here who might want an extra (analog/digital) tv.
