Promiscuous Decatur?
Decatur Metro | August 14, 2008Maybe I’m just a little loopy today after our marathon comment sessions from yesterday…but doesn’t our Community Transportation tagline seem just a little dirty?
How about…”Decatur: We’ll sleep with anybody! ” Marietta…I’m looking in your direction…
I can’t imagine that Decatur would ever lower itselve to hooking up with anything “OTP”. Now, if that cute little Grant Park showed some interest…
as long as its not Buckhead, Decatur hooks up with…
that would be like hooking up with Thurston and Lovey Howell.
The shape is kind of a double goatse thing. Hmmm…
Alright…..
My significant other is a graphics person, and a very talented one at that. Maybe she can help.
New transportation slogan:
Decatur: Goes both ways
Oh wait. . . .
Is it final? If they must use those exact words it might OK if you reverse the order…”Get around, Decatur!”
…actually that has the same meaning doesn’t it? How about “Get around Decatur!”
Usually right about now someone makes a joke about a bustling city in Forsyth County. Wait for it…wait for it…
sure you don’t want ‘everyday is opening day’? it has been marked down. a lot!
Wheatley, are you talking about Chestatee or Pirkle Woods?
Hahaha…Pirkle Woods…
Don’t be such a prude. I like it.
Hagas, if you’re calling me a prude for the post, you’re completely misreading it.
You would be standing on much firmer ground calling me a perve.
Geez, guys, we don’t need to mention that town in Forsyth county by the lake ( where my boat is stored) The name of our town bout says it all ( —- hater)…
Not that there is anything wrong with that (per Seinfeld)
Not you really but I didn’t want to point anyone out either. I was mostly joking. My post is supposed to be read lightly. Don’t think I executed it well though. With that being said I don’t think the Baptist convention would want to plan for their next major meeting in the City of Decatur either. I think the sign, its message, and its catchy innuendo is perfect for Decatur.
I couldn’t resist the temptation. I blame the other bloggers for making me deviate from the straight and narrow path.
Actually, I think that logo is just a sign for their transporation plan. The phrase is fine.
I would actually like to see the plan.
It’s a really innovative plan and available on the city’s website here.
Don’t confuse my humor over the tagline as a critique of the plan. Its probably one of the most important documents the city has produced this decade. Its already receiving kudos….we were recently grouped with Seattle as two cities that had adopted comprehensive transportation plans. Plus, I’ve heard that the mecca of all urban planning, Portland, OR, has also recently shown an interest in it.
