Agilest Collections just opened in the Acme Lofts at 553 W. Howard Ave.  The new furniture store features both Knoll and Jonathan Adler collections, which means whether you’re looking for a Barcelona or Wassily Chair, a Noguchi dining table, or some Jonathan Adler sculptures, Agilest is now the place to shop.

Like all quality contemporary furniture, this place ain’t cheap.  But sometimes your pocketbook needs to suffer for good design.  (Says the guy that just bought end tables from Target)

Thanks to Carl for highlighting this new spot!  I actually noticed it yesterday on my way to the DMV, but then completely blanked on posting it.

Shawn writes in with this report from the east side of Decatur…

It appears we have 3 potentially dangerous dogs on the loose in the Decatur Heights/ Glenwood Estates area. In the course of the last 3 weeks several cats have been killed in this area via canine attack.

On several occasions over the last 3 weeks there have been eyewitness accounts of 3 dogs (2 pit bulls & 1 pit and lab mix) making the rounds. None of the dogs have collars.

Decatur police has been notified on several occasions. They have in turn contacted animal control who was then suppose to contact the individuals making the reports. No return calls from animal control thus far.

The neighborhood theory is that the dogs may be living in the reserve.

Follow-up contact with the Police requesting increased surveillance has been requested. Hopefully they will respond before the dogs turn their attention to larger prey.

Sounds like Decatur Heights residents might want to keep their cats inside until this situation is taken dealt with.
