Gauging Decatur Voter Turn Out
Decatur Metro | February 5, 2008There was no line at my precinct this morning at First Christian Church on Ponce, but as I filled out my form a barrage of people filed in behind me.
Meanwhile, Atlanta Public Affairs reports a huge line at his Decatur precinct and one of my coworkers that lives in VA-Hi gave up and came to work due to the preposterous wait. (I found the reason)
What about the rest of you?
See below for my official Super Tuesday outfit.
I wonder what the fashion-forward AsianCajuns think of it. Smart and sassy? Well, then you should see the pants!

At 9:30 am there was a line at Epworth in Candler Park. I’m bad at estimating crowds, but I waited about 30-45 minutes to vote, and as I left there appeared to be a line about the same length as when I arrived.
Berlin, CT, District 1 @ 9:30 am, 6 people in line – 5 Dems, 1 Repub. Surprisingly light. And where were the candidates standing out front (75 feet back, of course) to egg us on? Not a one!
There was a light but steady crowd at First Christian Church at noon.
At two o’clock I walked over to my polling place at Fernbank Elementary. No line whatsoever. Nada.
As I cast my vote I sent a little prayer of gratitude to my grandmother, a pioneer for women’s suffrage.
This is a thrilling election year!
