It’s hard to keep a resilient man down, and that includes those entrenched in the mob.
The third season premiere of Tulsa King starts streaming today, picking up in the dimly lit interrogation room where we last saw Dwight “The General” Manfredi at the close of Season 2. It doesn’t take long to discover who has captured him and their motivations; while the news isn’t the best Dwight has ever received, he quickly makes his escape, suits up, and dives right back into his operations.
This season, Dwight finds himself entangled in the world of bourbon, a venture that introduces him to his toughest opponent yet. Here are the key moments from “Blood and Bourbon.”

MEET MUSSO
Dwight, handcuffed and spotlighted, sits across from a suited man who introduces himself as Agent Musso (portrayed by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Kevin Pollak). Musso reassures Dwight that Margaret is safe on her ranch, then reveals that Richard “Ripple” McCleavy, whom Dwight killed while he was chained and ablaze, was an informant for Musso, derailing a two-year operation against the Invernizzi family.
Musso is well aware of recent killings linked to Dwight — “the bikers, Chickie — I know everything,” he states. He won’t charge Dwight with murder yet. Instead, he threatens to implicate Dwight’s entire Tulsa operation, including Margaret, unless Dwight agrees to cooperate on Musso’s terms. As Musso exits, he ominously hints at a dark outcome should they not comply.
QUIET RAY ENTERS THE PICTURE
Dwight is soon contacted by someone named Quiet Ray, who beckons him to New York. Accompanied by Joanne and the grandkids, Dwight attends the San Gennaro festival in Manhattan’s Little Italy, with Goodie and Bigfoot waiting outside.
Quiet Ray, an influential figure in the New York mob, quickly cuts to the chase, offering Dwight his own family and territory. Dwight declines, preferring his setup in Tulsa. This refusal frustrates Ray, who then demands a share of Dwight’s wealth. After the meeting, Goodie suggests Dwight consider the retirement option Ray mentioned, to which Dwight firmly says, “Not happening.”
CLEO & THE DUNMIRES
Back in Tulsa, Cleo Montague (played by Bella Heathcote from The Man in the High Castle) visits Mitch at his car dealership. The shock on Mitch’s face suggests past romantic entanglements. Cleo’s father is selling his distillery, and Jeremiah Dunmire is poised to buy. Mitch and Cleo share a moment and a kiss, and she invites him to her father’s yard sale the following day.
MARGARET IS MAD
Upon Dwight’s return from New York, he is greeted by Spencer, now working as a bartender at the casino. Margaret, upset, confronts Dwight about his abrupt departure days earlier. Dwight explains his fears of the dark paths the Feds might lead him down and his desire to protect her from that life. Margaret tearfully insists on staying by his side, and they reconcile. She even presents him with a gift—a lapel pin featuring a circle of stars for The General.
Mitch soon joins Dwight, disillusioned with his job as a car salesman. He suggests Dwight consider purchasing Cleo’s father’s distillery. After tasting the bourbon, Dwight agrees, though he acknowledges they must deal with Dunmire first. Dwight tells Mitch to let him handle Dunmire.
When they visit the Montague’s, Mr. Montague informs them that the distillery is already promised to Dunmire. Unaware of Dunmire’s offer, Dwight proposes to double it. Mr. Montague explains he can’t break the handshake agreement with Dunmire, but the interaction is interrupted by Dunmire’s antagonistic son, Cole.
BODHI’S REVENGE
Joanna assigns Bodhi the task of delivering a payment to the Kansas City crew. The trip turns chaotic when Bodhi’s electric vehicle runs out of charge, and even more so when the Kansas City guys discover comic books instead of money in the bag. After a tense confrontation and a return trip for the correct bag, Bodhi asserts his dominance, leaving the Kansas City guy grateful just to leave with his life.
Dwight receives an angry call from Bevilaqua about the incident, but he supports Bodhi’s actions.
THE SOFT SELL
Dwight visits Theodore Montague again to persuade him that he doesn’t need to sell to Dunmire. “When I partner with someone, their friend is my friend. Their enemy is my enemy,” Dwight assures. However, Montague is apprehensive about Dunmire’s potential reaction to a broken deal.
Musso later contacts Dwight, hinting that he’s been watching him at the Montague place and ominously states, “I’ll be in touch.”
UP IN FLAMES
We meet Jeremiah (portrayed by Robert Patrick from 1923) as he learns of the issues with the Montague deal. He visits Theodore that night, who informs him of a better offer from someone who respects their legacy. Although Jeremiah feigns support for the new deal, he and his men attack Theodore and set the building ablaze, watching impassively from outside.
