As the third season of Tulsa King approaches its debut in September, Paramount+ has revealed a key detail about the suspenseful cliffhanger from the end of Season 2. They’ve disclosed the identity of the person who abducted Dwight “The General” Manfredi from his residence.
In the newly released trailer for the upcoming season, Kevin Pollack, known from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, introduces his character as “Special Agent Musso,” revealing himself as the one who captured Dwight. When Dwight inquires about Musso’s intentions, the response is chilling: “I own you, General.”
Tulsa King is set to make its return for Season 3 on Sunday, September 21. Paramount+ has amped up the anticipation by releasing the full trailer on Tuesday, showcasing Sylvester Stallone and his crew gearing up for more action.

The narrative of the series centers around Dwight “The General” Manfredi, portrayed by Stallone, a mobster from New York who has established his own criminal enterprise in Oklahoma. The second season concluded with a dramatic scene where Dwight and his girlfriend, Margaret, were forcefully taken from their bed by armed assailants and brought to an unknown, dimly lit place. Here, an unseen figure ominously declared that Dwight now works for “us.” (A full recap of the finale is available here.)
Additionally, Paramount+ has shared several new images from the forthcoming season. These include a first look at new cast member Robert Patrick (1923), who will portray Jeremiah Dunmire, a powerful figure deeply entrenched in the liquor industry, referred to in the trailer as the “tyrant of Tulsa.”
As previously announced, Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) will join Season 3 as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character from the criminal underworld akin to Dwight. According to the season’s synopsis, Russell and Dwight became acquainted during their time in federal prison. The trailer provides a glimpse of Jackson’s character in action.
Russell is initially dispatched to Tulsa by the Renzetti crime family from New York to eliminate Dwight. However, inspired by the empire Dwight has built in Tulsa and intrigued by the prospects of starting anew, Russell decides to return to New Orleans. After abandoning it 40 years earlier, Russell aims to reconnect with his family and reclaim control over the city. This move antagonizes his former bosses in New York and draws threats from local enemies in New Orleans, both criminals and police alike. Jackson is expected to feature in several episodes before branching out to lead his own spinoff series, NOLA King. (More details on this development can be found here.)
