    Registration Now Open for Decatur Summer Camps

    Time to Register for Summer Camp in Decatur!

    Yes, it’s that time of year again – time to register your children for Summer Camp in Decatur! You can register online or visit Beacon Hill Center to register in person. Beacon Hill is located behind the Police Station at 430 W. Trinity Place.

    Registering online! Online registration is available through WebTrac. For information and a link to the registration, visit http://www.decaturga.com/index.aspx?page=173.

    Online registration requires a household ID number and password. This paperwork must be completed prior to registration day in order to allow online registration.  WebTrac will not accept financial assistance registration and accepts only credit cards. A limited number of camp spaces (75 percent) are available online.

    Push Push Theater & Film Camps Now Accepting Enrollment

    Decatur Metro | April 6, 2011

    Charline at Push Push Theater writes in…

    PushPush Theater, located in East Decatur Station, is currently accepting enrollment for their June and July summer theater camps. The camps will focus on a classic text and will use theater, film and improv to enhance participants’ imagination, communication, confidence and collaboration skills. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tennessee Williams, this year’s program will include an adaptation of one of his classic works. Each camp will culminate in a lively public performance.

    Dates:

    • Camp One: June 13 – July 1, 2011
    • Camp Two: July 11 – July 29, 2011

    Ages: 8 – 12 and Teens 13+ (participating separately)

    College Heights Summer Day Camp Registration Now Open

    Sarah at College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center sends in info on their Summer Day camp being offered to graduating Pre-K students…

    Summer Time is Here – Come and Have a Cool Summer at College Heights ECLC

    Day Camp for all children who are graduating Pre-K students.

    Registration includes field trips,transportation, breakfast, lunch and snack. Weekly Field Trips to Include: Swimming, The Atlanta Zoo,  The Center for Puppetry Arts,  Bowling and The Young Chefs Academy

    Weekly beginning May 31st thru July 22nd.

    Hours of Operation
    8:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m.
    $195 .00/ per week

    To enroll, pick up your enrollment packet at the school.  Registration began Monday!

    Decatur Playbook with Summer Camp Info Now Available

    Sarene wrote in this morning looking for the latest Decatur Playbook so she could get info on all the Decatur summer camps being offered this year.  Active Living’s Cheryl Burnette let us know it was already available at the Rec Center and would be available online by this afternoon.  And true to her word, here it is!

    The following CSD teacher-led camps are held at Clairemont Elementary and still have spaces available: June 7-11

    • Camp Wanna Cook-a-lot | 9:00-12:00  |  4-5 year olds  |  taught by Dana Kinney, DHS Culinary Arts teacher
    • Totally Awesome Technology, Beginners |  9:00-4:00  |  6-12 year olds  |  taught by 4 Glennwood teachers:  Marie Tingle (4th grade), Colleen Dunbar (Art teacher), Laconia Massaquoi (Music and Links teacher) and Steve Bartl (media specialist)
    • Spanish Camp I |  9:00-4:00  |  5-8 year olds  |  taught by Luis Mercado and Yunilda Vargas, RMS Spanish teachers
    • Culture Club |  1:00-4:00  |  5-8 year olds  |  taught by Courtney Hartnett, Oakhurst Links teacher
    • Who’s That Crawling? |  9:00-12:00  |  5-8 year olds  |  taught by Nancy Woodley, Winnona Park Art teacher
