And Just Like That… Shocker: Sex and the City Revival to End With Season 3 at HBO Max

The Conclusion of “And Just Like That…”

The curtain is finally closing on the “Sex and the City” revival series. HBO Max has confirmed that “And Just Like That…” will conclude after its third season. Fans can mark their calendars for a two-part series finale scheduled for Thursday, August 7, and 14.

Michael Patrick King, a pivotal figure behind the series, shared his thoughts, stating, “As I was penning the last episode of Season 3, it dawned on me that this was the perfect juncture to conclude our narrative. Together with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys, and Sarah Aubrey, we’ve decided to cap this beloved series this year, extending what was initially a 10-episode season to a 12-episode farewell.”

King added, “Sarah Jessica Parker and I chose to delay this announcement to avoid casting a shadow over the enjoyment of this season with the word ‘final.’ We are deeply thankful to all the viewers for welcoming these characters into their homes and hearts through the years.”

Debuting in December 2021, “And Just Like That…” continued to follow the lives of Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they transitioned from the complexities of life and friendships in their 30s to even more intricate realities in their 50s, as described in the official series synopsis.

In a nostalgic twist, Kim Cattrall, who originally starred alongside Parker, Nixon, and Davis throughout the six seasons of “Sex and the City,” made a cameo appearance as Samantha Jones in the finale of Season 2.

What are your thoughts on the conclusion of “And Just Like That…”? Are you sad to see it end, or do you believe it’s the right time to wrap up the “SATC” saga? Share your opinions in the comments below.
