New Guest Star on ‘Shifting Gears’
The television show ‘Shifting Gears’ on ABC, has welcomed comedian Lilly Singh, known from ‘A Little Late’ and ‘The Muppets Mayhem’, to its cast for the upcoming second season. She will be acting alongside Kat Dennings.
According to TVLine, which has exclusive details on the casting, Singh will portray Jen, a new friend of Riley’s character. The show depicts how these two mothers form an immediate bond, but soon face some unforeseen complications that test their friendship.
The specific launch date for Singh’s appearance on the show remains undecided.

TVLine has also provided a sneak peek at the promotional artwork for season two of ‘Shifting Gears’. This artwork features Tim Allen and Kat Dennings prominently, portrayed in a car’s side mirror with the clever tagline: “Family in mirror is closer than they appear.”
Season Premiere Details
The upcoming season will commence with a special episode featuring a ‘Home Improvement’ reunion. Patricia Richardson, Richard Karn, and Debbe Dunning will all appear in the first episode, providing support to Tim Allen’s character, the widower Matt Parker, in an unexpected manner.
Additionally, Nancy Travis from ‘Last Man Standing’, who made a guest appearance in the first season of ‘Shifting Gears’ as the character Charlotte, another widow, will be seen again in season two.
The main ensemble for the second season of ‘Shifting Gears’ includes Tim Allen as Matt, Kat Dennings as his daughter Riley, Seann William Scott as Gabriel, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, Maxwell Simkins as Carter, and Barrett Margolis as Georgia. Jenna Elfman will also continue her recurring role as Eve, Riley’s boss and Matt’s romantic interest.
‘Shifting Gears’ Season 2 is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 1 at 8/7c on ABC. Fans can catch up with all episodes from Season 1 available on Disney+ and Hulu. As of now, a trailer for the new season has yet to be released.
