Anakin Skywalker Continues to Live On

Though Anakin Skywalker has met his end in the narrative, Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as the legendary Star Wars figure in the upcoming second season of Ahsoka.

In the initial season, Christensen was featured in several flashback sequences and a visionary scene that depicted a lightsaber battle between him and Ahsoka. His participation in the second season was officially announced during the 2025 Star Wars Celebration held in Tokyo.

New Developments Teased at Star Wars Celebration

The Star Wars Celebration also provided a platform for Dave Filoni, the Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm, to offer some exciting previews of what’s to come in Ahsoka Season 2. Filoni described one segment of the upcoming season as “a really, really big battle,” indicating that fans can expect an intense warlike scenario akin to classic Star Wars confrontations. He further noted that characters such as Thrawn, Ezra, and Hera will be significantly involved, with Hera playing a more central role in the unfolding action.

In addition to these teasers, it was revealed that Rory McCann, known for his role in Game of Thrones, will join the cast as Baylan Skoll, a character previously portrayed by the recently deceased Irish actor Ray Stevenson.

Production for the eight-episode second season of Ahsoka is scheduled to start shortly, although a specific release date has not yet been disclosed.
