America’s Got Talent Reintroduces Former Acts
On a recent Tuesday episode, America’s Got Talent (AGT) welcomed back two acts from its past seasons, each returning with different experiences and outcomes.
The Messoudi Brothers, who previously appeared as a trio in Season 14, returned to the stage as a duo. Mel B quickly noticed the missing member and inquired about their absence. The brothers explained, “We are still a trio, but our brother stayed home this time. He now has two kids and sometimes takes breaks. We’ve come up with something new and significantly riskier than our previous acts.”
The phrase “significantly riskier” turned out to be quite the understatement. Formerly known for their three-man balancing act, the brothers escalated their performance by incorporating large, sharp knives into their routine. Not only did they manage to juggle these dangerous objects, but they also exchanged clothing with each other while keeping the knives in the air, all without injury. This daring display certainly impressed the judges.

Mel B, recalling their previous performances, expressed her astonishment: “I didn’t think you could surpass your earlier acts, but you did. You were flawless.” Overwhelmed by their performance, she hit Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer, showering the stage with confetti.
Return of the Underdog
Another familiar face, Alex Zinger, who previously didn’t make it past the auditions in Season 19, also made a comeback. This time, the financial advisor turned dancer was surrounded by a group of talented dancers. His unique approach, blending questionable dance skills with undeniable charm, caught the attention of the judges.
Simon Cowell commented on his performance, noting, “Often, we see people who are talented but dull — you might not be the best dancer, but you’re intriguing. You represent every average person who aspires to dance but can’t quite make it.” Although he didn’t receive a Golden Buzzer, Alex did walk away with approval from all four judges, a step up from his last attempt.
Both performers’ stories provided inspiration to Austin Brown, another hopeful who auditioned that Tuesday with the song “When a Man Loves a Woman.” While the judges recognized his talent, they felt he wasn’t quite ready for AGT. They didn’t allow him a second song but encouraged him to try convincing the producers for another chance to audition. Whether he returns later this season or in a future one remains to be seen.
