From Decatur PD…

On 2-18-14 at approximately 7 pm, Decatur Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 400 block of 3^rd Avenue.  A neighbor reported seeing a white Chevrolet Tahoe pull up the driveway and turn around behind their neighbor’s house.  The neighbor further reported witnessing a black male wearing a ski mask and gray hoodie exit the front passenger door of the Tahoe, enter the rear porch and attempt to gain entry to the rear door with some type of blade in his hand.  The suspect noticed the neighbor watching and ran back and entered the passenger side of the Tahoe and fled south on 3^rd Avenue.  No items were taken.

At approximately 8:30 pm, Decatur Police responded to a burglary in the 800 block of 3^rd Avenue which occurred between 5:45 pm – 8:30 pm.  The suspects forced a gate and then a rear door and took items from the house.
