A friend said Baby Kroger was closed when he went by at 9am.

Given everything that’s happened with the weather, do you think it would be ok to cancel Valentines Day this year? Just wonderin’…..
Last I heard the plan was to have it some time in March, but that might interfere with people’s family ski trips, so….
Since rain will probably wash out the Independence Day parade and fireworks for a third year, Valentine’s Day will be moved to September so both holidays can be celebrated simultaneously. I’m currently on the hunt for a red, white and blue box of chocolates.

Just go my Starbucks Mocha! The old manager came in to open up – she said Decatur is the only Starbucks open in Atlanta area today.

i just returned from a trip to my studio in Inman Park, and based on all the slush that remains on the roads and tonight’s expected freeze, i’m guessing schools will remain closed for fear of black ice in the morning.

I guess every day counts at this point, but it would seem odd to open one day before another week off. Also, all of the nearby systems are closed again Friday.

One day right before the long break is a bit odd, but I’d like to have the day to help remind people of what they’re doing and set it in their minds before the break, so that it doesn’t totally evaporate. I guess that, especially for HS (plus IB and AP classes), it would also be really good to have the chance for teachers to see where the students are at and make sure they’re all on the same page as far as what work to do over break to catch up for time lost.

Marietta city schools is delayed opening. That seems like a good compromise.
Csd Facebook page says they will either have a delayed opening or cancel altogether. Patterns will receive a robocall at 7:00 am letting them know the decision.

Ok, it’s now after 5 PM, workplaces are letting people know that they are open tomorrow, we need to know if school is open or not. There’s plans to be made either way… Not criticizing, just need to know. CSD?

Just saw opening will either be delayed two hours or cancelled, but not announced until 7am.
I know I’m quibbling a little but the CSD email and Facebook subject titles could mislead: “Possible two-hour delay…” The delay is not possible, it’s definite. What’s not clear is whether the delay will turn into a cancellation instead.
I am going to have to take my kids to work. We both have early meetings and it is too late for me to plan for anyone to get them to school.
