Oh dear.  Heather points to this AJC report of another fatality on North Decatur Road this morning….

DeKalb County police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred during Thursday’s morning commute.

The accident happened about 8:30 a.m. on North Decatur Road at Landover Drive.

DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish told Channel 2 Action News that the man was attempting to cross North Decatur with a female when he was hit.

We continue to work with the Ruby Tuesday space to find a suitable tenant. Ruby Tuesday has eight years remaining on the lease for this 5,500-square-foot space and the size is a bit of a challenge. However, there has been interest from some promising tenants and we hope to have it leased by the end of the summer.

A major route between Decatur and Atlanta was shut down by a fallen tree early Thursday.

The huge tree came crashing down onto Ponce de Leon Avenue near Clifton Road before 5 a.m.

All lanes of Ponce de Leon in both directions remained blocked at 7:30 a.m., and the state Department of Transportation was predicting it would be 10 a.m. before the road reopens.
