Who Cooks For You: Part 2!

Decatur Metro | April 29, 2013

who cooks

They’re baaaccck!  WPoncer writes in…

I wanted to share this photo my son took on our front porch last night. Think there are two others in the trees with mommy nearby. We watch them (or maybe they watch us) from our back porch every evening. I posted on FFAF about the group rescue of one of these cuties Wednesday.

In case you’re new around these parts, here’s Part I from May 2012.

Cakes & Ale Wins Georgia Trust Preservation Award

Decatur Metro | April 29, 2013

As pointed out by the Atlanta Business Chronicle this morning, Cakes & Ale is among the 23 recipients of a the state-wide Georgia Trust Historic Preservation Award for the rehabilitation of their new spaces along Sycamore Street.

Skimming through the press release, it seems that C&A was the only recipient in the metro Atlanta area.  (Correct me if I’m wrong about that.)

Thanks to the readers who pointed this out to me this morning!

Best Scotch for the Money?

Decatur Metro | April 29, 2013

Ever since the “best bourbon for the money” post, there have been requests for dedicated post for its sibling, scotch.

I won’t be much help on this one, but I’m sure there are some avid scotch drinkers out there.  Even in the South!  Have at it.
