Scott Boulevard, Decatur GA (pic submitted by Joe yesterday evening)
« Free “Snow Day Camp” at Decatur Rec Tomorrow* City Schools of Decatur Closed For Students Friday »
I was on Scott Blvd earlier this afternoon. It’s a *lot* better. The sun has melted and/or evaporated quite a bit of the snow/ice/water.
Thought you might title this “Eye on the Sleet,” but I like “Ice on the Street.”
Ha! That’s a good one too.
Yesterday, I’m sure there were many “AIEEE!s on the Street” as people skidded and/or spun out.
Dear GA drivers, flooring it is an ineffective and dangerous way to try to move when you’re stuck on ice. Instead, put the car in low gear and start off as slowly as possible. If you continue having problems, let a little air out of your tires.
….and downshift instead of brake!
Being from extreme Northwest Georgia, it’s saved me from countless winter disasters.
Has anyone been down Scott this morning? I need to take a trip to Ace from Superior Ave.
