Yeah Ive been a bit lax about that lately since we’ve gotten some great photos without streets in them. My wife has asked the same question a few times now.
The best part about this mailbox, if you’ve got small children, is that every letter deposited with a return address gets a response back from Santa! A big hit with the True Believers.
I grew up in alaska (where this zipcode is from) and when I was a middle schooler, we responded to these letters sent from all over the world. I love seeing this box come out every year!! Happy holidays!
Just when I get start to get bitter about some decision being made that seems political and/or unfair and/or unwise, I read something like this and realize that Decatur is the best place in the whole world.
When Santa sends back the response, could he/she forward the original letter? I have secretive children who nonetheless expect me to read their minds and meet their every need magically.

It is at the post office, on the wall across from the door (in the covered area). I noticed it last week and adore it!
