Decatur Screenprint Coming To 340 West Ponce
Decatur Metro | March 21, 2010Patrick writes in with news of what’s going on behind the white paper in the windows of the old Lisa DiFrancesco office in the upstairs of the 340 West Ponce de Leon building. The answer? A new location for Decatur Screenprint.
I wanted to let you know that the white paper up at the former Lisa Di Francesco Plastic Surgery office at 340 W. Ponce de Leon Ave (upstairs, same building where Little Azio used to be) is concealing renovation and build-out of the new location for Decatur Screenprint. We’re a custom printed apparel shop – we screenprint t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, jackets, etc. for our customers including schools, businesses, bands, individuals, and event organizers. Our focus is shorter run/smaller quantity, high quality organic/recycled garments sourced from socially-conscious manufacturers along with eco-friendly inks. We also print on conventional garments as well. Everything is done manually on-site by a human, no robots or automation – we like real people doing the work. It goes along with our conservation mindset – jobs have to be conserved, too! We’ll also be offering some retail items and gifts. Shooting for anopening in the April/early May timeframe if all runs smoothly. Can’t wait to slap our “Made in Decatur” tag on everything we make.
We’ve been holding the news in for weeks – glad to have it off our chest.
