    Free-For-All Friday – Holiday Edition

    Decatur Metro | December 25, 2009

Decatur Wi-Fi is my personal savoir today, as our Comcast internet (and cable) has been down all morning long.

Feel free to use this post to discuss and ask questions about local topics not addressed here in the past week.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Kawaza, Winter Solstice, Boxing Day to all DM readers and their families!

Christmas tree is undecorated and ready to go to ASC for recycling tomorrow a.m.! Erm, I hope they’ll be out there tomorrow. DM?

They don’t have to be there – just leave it in the middle of the parking lot.

Cannot wait to get back to Decatur (Sunday night)… looking forward to a fish taco / carnitas at TDS!!

      Yuletide and all that…

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! I sure am!! Can anyone suggest a reason that everytime I have come to the DM website lately, the Eat 2 story scrolls up all by itself almost as soon as the website appears on the screen. No other website on my Favorites list does this kind of self-navigating, so I don’t know what’s going on with the Eat 2 story insisting that I look at it again and again and again…!

Weird. So your bookmark is just http://www.decaturmetro.com but you’re getting pushed down to the Eat2 post?

I wonder what will happen when that post moves to the second page.

Same thing happening here as well. It is weird.

That’s what I’m waiting for. If it doesn’t stop then, I’ll eliminate it from my Favorites list and just access it anew and see whether the script slides down again.

When did it start happening? Which web browser are you guys using?

            • Carolyn says:

I am using IE (Internet Explorer) as my web browser. This has never happened before on this website, and I am still using the same browser as I have for several years. And it never happened until the Eat@2 blog.

this happens to me too….I have Decatur Metro on my google homepage, and when I click on “Decatur Metro” to come to the main page of the blog, it takes me to the “Eat 2″ story.

I think it’s that weird German Google map that I inserted. I just took it out.

Also the post is no longer on the first page. Any better?

Yes, my sliding down problem no longer occurs. Thanks for fixing!

Does anyone know of any good New Year’s Eve events in Decatur? We’re looking for something fun, not too DJ-ey, and maybe a little dressy.
