Decatur’s own Andisheh Nouraee writes in with a question I don’t have the answer to…

Our lovely city is under a flight path frequently traveled by low-flying, Blackhawk helicopters.

The helicopters fly either southeast or northwest, which has me guessing they might be flying between Ft. Dobbins in Marietta and Georgia’s coast — possibly Ft. Stewart. Again, that’s just a guess.

Does anyone know where these helicopters are going and why they fly so low?
