Over at Decatur eLife, Andrea Berry has again put together another great video update on Decatur’s charter school process, interviewing potential parent and teacher candidates for the Leadership Boards at the recent candidate forums.
Berry reports in the video that parents will vote for their candidates this week and that election results will be posted online September 9th.

Please follow up and let us know how many people actually voted. The bios for the candidates went up at the last minute and many parents had very little information to go on.
Don’t move into past tense just yet! There are plenty of opportunities today and tomorrow to cast your ballot, allowing time to read candidate bios and make decisions:

September 4, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Clairemont, Oakhurst, and Winnona Park (voting at each individual school)
September 4, 7:45 am – 6:00 pm
The following two voting sites can accommodate voting for any SLT member for any school:
Central Office at Westchester
September 5, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
September 6, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Decatur Housing Authority Community Center
September 5, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Granted things have been a bit rocky with the quick start-up, but a little flexibility on everyone’s part should get us over the hump. We should save any complaining for when decisions start getting made! ;^)
