Prime Video has officially announced the renewal of The Legend of Vox Machina for its fifth and concluding season. This news was shared during the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, significantly ahead of the show’s fourth season premiere scheduled for 2026.
Additionally, the platform disclosed that a new spinoff from Vox Machina, titled The Mighty Nein, will make its first appearance on Wednesday, November 19. More details on this are provided below.
Melissa Wolfe, who leads animation at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed her excitement about the series’ upcoming developments. “Achieving five seasons is a remarkable achievement for all parties involved, and we are thrilled to present what’s in store for the grand finale of The Legend of Vox Machina to our worldwide audience on Prime Video," she stated.

Executive producers Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham shared their gratitude, acknowledging the rarity of a TV series being able to fully realize its envisioned storyline from start to finish. They extended their thanks to the fans, affectionately known as ‘critters,’ their collaboration with Prime Video, and the original Kickstarter contributors who helped bring the series to fruition, thereby transforming the so-called ‘numbskulls’ of Vox Machina into animated icons.
The vocal talents behind Vox Machina include Riegel and Willingham, alongside fellow EPs like Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3), and Marisha Ray (Fallout 76). The Mighty Nein is described as a narrative centered on a band of fugitives and misfits, united by their hidden pasts and the scars they bear. The story heats up when a mystical artifact known as ‘The Beacon’ is seized by dangerous forces, prompting the group to unite and prevent the unraveling of reality itself.
The voice cast for this spinoff boasts notable names such as Mark Strong (Nine Perfect Strangers), Alan Cumming (The Traitors), Tim McGraw (1883), Anika Noni Rose (Princess and the Frog), Ming-Na Wen (The Mandalorian), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana), Rahul Kohli (iZombie), Robbie Daymond (Date Everything!), and Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
