Scott reported yesterday that the old Tossed location in the Artisan seems to have a new tenet (noted by activity inside and an absent “For Lease” sign).

Lyn confirmed but wasn’t able to give me the name yet.  If anyone knows details spill the beans in the comments section!

P.S.  Great news for the city since that’s a pretty expensive commercial space.  Really interested to find out who it is!

Carl writes in with a report that Tossed has peeled all of lettering off their doors. He also was good enough to include the pic above. Is this the end for this short-lived salad spot?

If so, I can honestly say I was expecting this one. While I never actually tried this salad joint, it was mainly because my wife had a pretty mediocre, over-priced wrap there once and then refused to go back. One would think a salad place might make it here, but they just never seemed to fit in.

I mean if I can get an $8 sandwich at Sawicki’s…why get a salad wrap for the same price?

UPDATE: We walked by this evening, and it definitely seems closed.  Why else would all the bathroom paper towel dispensers be sitting on a table out front?

As noted by In Decatur, the AJC features not a review, but something that reads more like a press release, of Decatur’s new salad bar joint, Tossed. (I definitely saw this write up a couple days ago online, so to see an Oct. 18th publication date on it stumped me for a moment, but I guess that may be when it finally went into the print edition.)

In Decatur also points out a small feature about Bada Bing! in an AJC Jon Waterhouse Neighborhood Dining wrap up about upscale tailgating (oxymoron?).

And for any and all Decatur development junkies, a small update on In Decatur’s eulogy to Tropical Smoothie Cafe (sniff…we hardly new your mango/kiwi smoothies and salad wraps) – there doesn’t seem to be an immediate renter of the vacated space in the 335 W. Ponce De Leon condo building, since they’ve recently hung a “For Lease” sign in the window.
