Jackie and the Walter Boys Set for a Seasonal Return
As summer draws to a close, Netflix has excited fans by dropping the first trailer for the eagerly anticipated second season of My Life With the Walter Boys. The entire season, consisting of 10 episodes, will be available for binge-watching starting Thursday, August 28. The newly released trailer showcases Jackie’s return to the Walter family home after a summer spent in New York City. She faces the challenge of mending her relationships with Cole and Alex after their complicated history. (Watch the trailer above.)
The series, which is a screen adaptation of the popular WattPad novel, continues to charm viewers with its engaging narrative. My Life With the Walter Boys centers around 15-year-old Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez), who, after a tragic accident claims her family, leaves her upscale Manhattan life. She relocates to rural Colorado to live with her mother’s best friend, Katherine (portrayed by Sarah Rafferty from Suits), and her large family. Katherine and her husband, George (Marc Blucas), are raising ten children. During her time there, Jackie finds herself romantically entangled with two of the Walter boys: the steadfast Alex (Ashby Gentry) and the more troubled Cole (Noah LaLonde).
Season 2 Unfolds New Dramas and Relationships
The second season picks up with Jackie having spent her summer in New York City after the emotional upheavals at Silver Falls. Persuaded by Katherine to return to Colorado, Jackie is resolute about making things right with Alex and defining clear boundaries with Cole, all while trying to find her footing in the Walter household. However, reintegrating into the family and the community proves more challenging than expected. Alex has undergone significant changes over the summer and is not particularly receptive to Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he is now preoccupied with preparing for a daring rodeo competition and the newfound attention that comes with it. Meanwhile, Cole struggles with his role at school and his inability to play football, which leads him back to his old, problematic behaviors, stirring up more trouble.
