Leanne Morgan Netflix Sitcom From EP Chuck Lorre Will Drop All 16 Episodes This Month — Watch Trailer

Chuck Lorre’s new multi-camera comedy series is skipping traditional TV and launching directly on a streaming platform: Netflix’s Leanne is set to debut on Thursday, July 31, with all 16 episodes available immediately.

The thirty-minute series, a collaborative creation between Lorre, Susan McMartin (Mom, Two and a Half Men), and stand-up comedian Leanne Morgan, features Morgan in the titular role of Leanne. The series kicks off with Leanne’s life thrown into disarray when her husband of 33 years, Bill (played by Ryan Stiles from Two and a Half Men), leaves her for another woman. The show’s synopsis reveals that starting anew as a grandmother and going through menopause was not what Leanne had envisioned. However, she decides to take on this new phase of her life with the support of her family, including her sister Carol, played by Kristen Johnston from Mom, managing her challenges with both grace and humor, and yes, even jello salad.

The ensemble cast includes Blake Clark (Boy Meets World) and Celia Weston (Modern Family) as Leanne’s parents, John and Margaret. Leanne’s adult children, Tyler and Josie, are portrayed by Graham Rogers (The Kominsky Method) and Hannah Pilkes (Would I Lie to You). The series also features several recurring guest stars such as Tim Daly (Wings), Jayma Mays (Glee), Annie Gonzalez (Gentefied), and Blake Gibbons (Bookie). Lorre, McMartin, and Morgan take on executive production roles along with Nick Bakay (Bob Hearts Abishola, The Kominsky Method, Mom, Two and a Half Men, Young Sheldon) and Judi Marmel (Bookie).
