Discover Coastal Oasis in the City: Gurugram Apartment Embraces Beach Vibes!

The Spring Breeze Apartment located in Gurugram, India, offers a refreshing slice of Goa’s coastal aura from its position on the 20th floor of the Palm Springs Society building. Spanning 3,600 square feet, the apartment, designed by Aavahsa, presents a retreat-like atmosphere in the midst of urban life, combining elements of Japandi and Boho decor styles.

Designers Aanchal Antal and Ranjan Prajapati faced the task of blending the minimalist and earthy tones of Japandi with the eclectic and textured allure of Boho. Their strategy involved using a mix of natural materials and custom craftsmanship while focusing on comfortable living for the family. The space is defined not by wall paneling, but through the careful arrangement of furniture, natural wood veneers, and plush textiles. Elements like oak wood, woven cane, and bouclé textiles are harmoniously paired with pastel shades and abundant natural light from large windows.

The apartment’s color scheme features soft gradients of beige, white, and blush, enhanced by layers of tactile textures. Bedrooms with honey oak flooring provide a striking contrast to the smooth Bottochino marble in the living areas. Textural details such as linen curtains, rattan touches, and smoothly curved archways add a gentle softness. The layout adheres to Vaastu principles, promoting an atmosphere of balanced spaces and positive energy flow, aligning with the home’s calming aesthetic.

The entrance introduces this serene ambiance with its uniquely shaped arches that appear hand-carved. This area is adorned with art pieces and is illuminated by a distinctive Boho pendant light.

The main living and dining spaces are infused with a tropical feel, featuring lush wallpaper and a cozy off-white bouclé sofa. Nearby, two organically formed coffee tables sit atop a black and beige rug, anchoring the room. The dining area contrasts with a sleek white marble table and a rustic oak-cane console cabinet, each surface chosen to enhance the lighting, with sheer curtains, mellow wall finishes, and shiny marble reflecting natural light to maintain elegance throughout the day.

A bespoke bar in one corner mixes Japandi’s signature clean lines with Boho flair, featuring a fluted base and circular top, complemented by leather chairs with black veneer legs for a touch of sophistication.

The master bedroom is a haven for relaxation, complete with a swing next to the bed and tropical wallpaper that adds a lively Boho touch to the subdued color scheme. The connected bathroom maintains the theme of smooth and curvy designs with monochrome tiles and soft arches.

The children’s bedroom is designed to inspire creativity and fun. It features an olive green upholstered bed with a fluted headboard, and custom playful wallpaper designed to grow with the child. Completing this imaginative space are jungle gym bars suspended from the ceiling for climbing during playtime.
