TVLine is reviewing all the significant changes in daytime television this fall.
These adjustments range from the discontinuation of five syndicated programs, including two popular game shows, to the introduction of a new host for Extra. The landscape of daytime TV will see several changes as 2025 closes out.

Notably, there will be a fresh face anchoring the long-standing news magazine Inside Edition, and a new judge taking the bench on Hot Bench. Additionally, fans will experience Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune in an entirely new way.

Discontinued: Dish Nation
After 13 seasons, Dish Nation will not be returning to local TV stations for the 2025-26 season.

Discontinued: Person, Place or Thing
The game show Person, Place or Thing, hosted by Melissa Peterman, will conclude after just two seasons.

Discontinued: Pictionary
The drawing game show Pictionary, led by Jerry O’Connell, will also end its run after three seasons.

Discontinued: True Crime News
True Crime News, hosted by Ana Garcia, will not be returning after its initial season.

Discontinued: Matter of Fact
Matter of Fact, with Soledad O’Brien, will end after a decade of syndication.

New Date for Daytime Emmys
The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony has been rescheduled from June to fall, with this year’s event set for Friday, Oct. 17.

New Extra Host
Derek Hough will be the new face of Extra, taking over from Billy Bush as the host. He will work alongside senior correspondent Mona Kosar Abdi and veteran reporter Terri Seymour.

New Hot Bench Judge
Daniel Mentzer will replace Michael Corriero as the judge on Hot Bench, starting with the upcoming season. Gina Findley will also join as the new bailiff.

Eva Pilgrim, formerly a co-anchor on GMA3, will take over from Deborah Norville as the anchor of Inside Edition.

Deborah Norville will host the new game show Perfect Line, where contestants arrange items in the correct order to win.

Michael Yo will present Scrambled Up, a game show challenging contestants to solve jumbled words for a chance to win $10,000.

Starting this fall, new episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will be available for streaming the day after airing.
