Tamara Braun Expands Her Presence in Daytime TV

Tamara Braun is broadening her influence in daytime television by assuming a new role on CBS’s The Young and the Restless, as confirmed by TVLine.

While specific details about her character, Sienna Bacall, remain sparse, her official character bio suggests she is closely linked to several of Genoa City’s residents in Y&R. Braun is set to start filming next week, with her debut appearance anticipated this coming fall.

Braun is no stranger to the world of daytime soap operas. She initially entered the scene by replacing the actress for Carly Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital, a part she portrayed from 2001 until 2005. Her tenure in daytime dramas also includes roles such as Reese Williams in ABC’s All My Children and Ava Vitali in NBC’s and later Peacock’s Days of Our Lives.

Braun has already earned two Daytime Emmy Awards — one in 2009 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Days of Our Lives, and another in 2020 for a similar category in General Hospital. She also received a nomination for her performance in General Hospital in 2004.

New episodes of The Young and the Restless are broadcast on weekdays at 12:30/11:30c on CBS.
