Anyone tried driving yet because you had to? How is it? Have several critical appointments today, two of which I could walk/trek a few miles to but one is too far. All may be cancelled but just wondering…..

AHID: Spouse drove from Oakhurst to office in Midtown this morning. Avoided interstate but said he had no problem in Jeep.

But he also said everyone on the road is a Jeep, Subaru or cop car with chains…

Any coffeeshops open? Dancing Goats? Java Monkey? Starbucks? Kavarna?

The roads within Decatur vary from good traction to very slick — often within just yards. A Decatur police car appeared to be using chains.

Most things are likely to be closed today. Java Monkey and Starbucks aren’t open.

It is still. It is beautiful.

Uh oh. Java Monkey and Starbucks were both open for the 2011 Snowpocalypse. So was Kavarna. Not Dancing Goats. Not sure about Chocolate. Will check these out and update. This is my teensy contribution to the recovery efforts.

Sorry, I didn’t look close enough.

maybe next year the city should not give away the extra sand after the beach party :)

I live on a main street with a hill that is covered with about an inch of ice. could have been sanded or salted yesterday or last night but…..????? where are the salt trucks? just wonderin…
