There will be no school for City Schools of Decatur students and staff tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29. All schools will be closed. Please stay safe and warm!
DeKalb County Atlanta has also announced “no school” on Wednesday. 11alive reported earlier that Emory is also closed tomorrow, but their website still doesn’t announce anything definitively.

How did you hear about Emory?
Yeah, where is the Emory info coming from? Their website still lists it as “will make a call by 5am” and nothing has come out to faculty/students via email yet. I don’t see how they can do anything BUT cancel tomorrow, but I don’t see anything official yet.

hard to imagine Emory not being closed tomorrow—temperature at 8am will be less than 20º, and the roads will be as treacherous as they are now, if not worse.
Email and text msg – Emory closed. Emory Healthcare staff are expected to report to work during inclement weather – website current now.
Hard to imagine tomorrow not being a total shutdown of everything, period. The roads are going to be solid ice tomorrow morning.
