Decatur’s Katie Abel tells us that Barely Lethal, starring Hailee Steinfeld (of True Grit fame), Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba, will be filming at the Old Decatur Courthouse  next Tuesday, December 10th.

IMDB describes “Barely Lethal” thusly “A 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a “normal” adolescence fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school. She quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting water-boarded.”

Abel tells DM that she will be providing more details on traffic and parking plans during the filming on The Decatur Minute next Monday.  Says Abel, “The road won’t be closed but there will be a lot of extra activity downtown that day.”

It’s finally that time of year again!  When we all share our favorite reads of the past year and perhaps provide our fellow readers with some holiday ideas for friends and family.   (Remember, just because the post title says “of 2013″ this doesn’t mean published in 2013.  Just that you read it this past year.
