Decatur Police: Two Burglaries in Winnona Park Today

On 11/07/13 at 10:27 am, Decatur Police responded to an alarm in the 200 block of Inman Drive. Officers discovered a broken rear window with a shovel propped against the house. The homeowner arrived and reported the shovel had been taken from the shed in the backyard, a kitchen knife was taken from the kitchen and found on the ground near the porch and jewelry was missing from a dresser in the upstairs bedroom.
On 11/07/13 at 4:07 pm, Decatur Police responded to a burglary in the 400 block of South Columbia Drive. The homeowner reported leaving the residence secured at 7:45 am and returning at 3:45 pm to find a rear window broken. The homeowner reported an e-reader and loose change missing from the residence.
