Wow! We’re in City of Decatur, right outside of Druid Hills, and there are sometimes some turkeys around here. I can’t believe there was one in a PARKING LOT!
It wasn’t armed robbery. Some kid stole someone’s iPhone off a table at the Brick Store and ran off with it. Where did you read that it was armed robbery?
It was on the Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch….it was according to the website crimereports.com. Looking at the post again though it says they haven’t confirmed if a weapon was used although the headline says 7th armed robbery.
Doesn’t look like it says “armed” anymore. Crime reports doesn’t say “armed” either. DPD sent me the report earlier and it was a juvenile and his friends stealing a iPhone. Some of the suspects were arrested after DPD and a witness at the scene chased them down.
Nice pic. Nature continues to amaze me. The creatures around Glen Lake Park have been quite festive the past several weeks, especially in the morning.
The City of Decatur also has its share of unusual birds and I saw one on Church Street this evening, walking towards the new but yet unopened Mexican-American restaurant wearing nothing but thong underwear/bathing suit. Quite a sight! Wanted to take a pic but wasn’t sure if Mr. DM would consider it appropriate for a street scene. Later the Mrs. asked, “Why didn’t you call the police?” I said, “Hey, it’s Decatur!”
On a more sober note (Oh no, sounds like more conservative doom and gloom finger waving), is this another sign of tolerance in Decatur or are we sliding down the slippery slope towards Berkley, or is it Gomorrah?

I wonder if my lunch today was related to this one.
North DeKalb Mall is next to a nature conservancy so not surprised to see wildlife in their lot.
Looks like Golden Corral is taking this “farm to table” thing pretty seriously.
Did WKRP do another promotion?
That doesn’t look like a “bag of wet cement.”
Where’s the sweet vermouth and the bitters?
+ 1/2 (half sweet & half dry would make it perfect)
So nothing on the 7th armed robbery in 2 months? This time on the square.

he is a regularly appearing character- though I’ve only seen him in a speedo type thing, not thong…
