Troy sent in this pic over the weekend of an inventory truck unloading at the new Family Dollar in Oakhurst. Alison points out that Family Dollar’s new stores webpage has Thursday, August 2nd as the scheduled opening date for the store.

Wow. There’s an election tomorrow. School starts on Wednesday, Dollar General opens on Thursday. The Olympics are on. So much excitement.

Perhaps they’ll sell $1 growlers?
I know a lot of folks didn’t think this was/is right for the neighborhood, but I’m thinking that will change when they see how convenient this is. The lesson is – Never let perfect be the enemy of good. And this is good.
I wonder if they will keep the one in Suburban Plaza open after Walmart opens there.
