Did the old gal find her way home? If not, I’d be happy to help keep her fed and sheltered until she does.

Thanks so much to all the good people out there who emailed us about this dog. Because of Decatur Metro I was able to find her owner’s house this afternoon in Oakhurst. Unfortunately, this 13 year old girl passed away yesterday afternoon, but it sounds like she lived a good, long life.

:-( Very sad news Michele. But thank you for the update and for being with this old girl in her final days. I sure it’s been a long few days for you.

If you don’t mind my asking, what was her name?

Her name was Jetta. She seemed to be a very sweet girl. The Village Vets were AMAZING when I brought her in. We are lucky to have such a caring, wonderful group of vets in downtown Decatur!

Rest in peace, sweet dog Jetta.

Man, I wish I didn’t read this now. Thank you for the update, though, and thank you for caring enough to track down her family. I’m going right now to hug both of my 70 pound, rescued from certain death near the end of their time at a local kill, black and white retriever mix mutts…
