The sillouette of the wreath on streetlamp symbolizes Decatur holidays for me. We are always so excited when the wreaths go up and depressed when they come down. (Given Decatur’s proclivity for Halloween and Easter decorations….e.g. egg trees and cobweb covered McRenovations, I’m surprised that the City doesn’t decorate the streetlamps at those times too. There’s also potential for Valentines Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Fourth of July!)
