Ann at Mingei World Arts reports a “Greek Diner coming in” to the old Atlanta Bread Company location at Church and Ponce. She adds “They papered the windows and started indoor destruction on Friday.”

No other detail at this point, but the concept certainly sounds promising.  Stay tuned.

As Chowhound points out in a comment, the AJC’s Meridith Ford Goldman reports that “David Roberts, one-third of the triumvirate that was the original Sam & Dave’s in Marietta, is opening his own ‘cue joint, Community BBQ, in the old Epicurean space on Clairmont Road in Decatur.”  (That’s the restaurant strip across from the Gables apartments on Clairmont)

From Goldman’s post, it sounds like Roberts is just about ready to open.  Click over for a few menu details for the owner and plans for the future.
